This inky black wine comes from a parcel of extremely low cropping Cabernet Sauvignon vines.  The low shoot growth of the vines allows the sunlight to penetrate right into the heart of the vine giving every berry the maximum opportunity to absorb each precious drop of sun, needed to develop both colour and flavour.

The intensity of aroma of this wine is apparent straight away with an abundance of mushroom earthiness, berry fruits and cassis.  The initial lift in the aroma is complexed by moss, truffles and well integrated French oak.

This wine is balanced with extremely fine grain tannins that are the direct result of the extended skin contact (52 days) used during fermentation.  The French oak used for the maturation has added to the finesse and elegance of this superb wine.
